Sun, Moon, and Star
Collected by Julia Averkieva from the Kwakwaka'wakw (Kwakiutl) of Vancouver Island, Canada. According to legend it was Raven who placed Sun, Moon, and Stars in the sky. At the beginning of the world the sun was kept in a box owned by Gull-Woman. Raven tricked her and thus gained possession of the box, which he opened.
