Snake

Collected by Julia Averkieva from the Kwakwaka'wakw (Kwakiutl) of Vancouver Island, Canada. According to legend if a woman refuses a man, a love charm can be made by placing strands of her hair obtained from her comb into the mouth of a snake. This will give her headaches.
