Two Mallard Ducks

Collected by Julia Averkieva from the Kwakwaka'wakw (Kwakiutl) of Vancouver Island, Canada. According to legend mallard ducks were originally blind women digging for clover and cinquefoil root. Qaneqelaku (a myth person) gave them eyesight by spitting on their eyes. He later turned them into birds.

Step 4 - L2, from the far side and from below, removes the R2 loop, then R2, passing to the far side of upper and lower L2f, hooks these strings to the right; 2 picks up 1n, drawing it through the double 2 loop, which slips off as 2 returns.
