The Sculpin
(Coronation Gulf)

1. Opening A.

2. Release 1 loops. 1, under 2 loop, proximally enters 5 loop and returns with 2f and 5n (which cross in the center of the figure). 1 hooks down 2n, proximally picks up 5f and returns with 5f, 5n, and 2f. (fig. 74a).  1 proximally enters 2 loops and returns with 2n. Navajo the three lower 1 loops over the upper 1 loop (fig. 74b).

3. Three strings cross horizontally in the center of the figure. With the backs of 5 push up slightly the two distal horizontal strings and hook down the proximal horizontal string through the existing 5 loop which slips off (fig. 74c).

4. Rotate each 2 a full turn away from you to straighten the 2 loops, then do an Index Twist by proximally inserting 3 beside 2 in their loops, catching 1n, close to 1, between 2 and 3 fingertips and drawing it back through 2 loop (fig. 74d). Release 1 loops.

5. On each side of the figure a vertical string crosses from the upper 2n TV string  to the lower 5f  TV in front of the figure. Pass each 1 towards the center of the figure and pick up this string (fig. 74e). L Katilluik.

6. The TV 1n is crossed near each side by a small loop, then by a larger loop closer to the center. Pass each 2 toward you over 1n. With an Index Twist style movement 2 picks up 1n between the two loops on its side by rotating down, then away and back to position (fig. 74f. Release 1 loops forming  fig. 74g, The Sculpin. A short string is recommended for this figure.
