1. Do Steps 1-4 of   The Scapulae or the Head of the Caribou.

2. Instead of passing 2 and 3 through the vertical loops to pick up the horizontal string, distally insert 2 into 1 loops, pick up the string indicated in fig. 54a and return. The string just picked up pulls back against the vertical loops, which bend down towards you over the string and form the "tusks" of the "walrus". The figure is extended with 2 pointing up and 1 held down pointing towards you (an awkward position). To lengthen the tusks, pull on the vertical loops with your teeth before beginning this step.
