| The Duck (Cape Prince of Wales) 1. Opening A. 2. Pass 2 away from you and insert distally into 5 loops; rotate 2 a full turn, down, toward you and back up to position, making sure you avoid the 1 loop (fig. 53a).
3. Don't allow the 5f string to slip off during the following moves. Proximally insert 3 into 2 loop and bend 2 down over 2n and 1f strings. Catch 1n between 2 and 3 fingertips. Draw this string back through 2 loop, placing it on the back of 2 with an Index Twist (fig. 53b - step A).
4. Bend 1 away from the body and down (fig. 53b - step B). 1 picks up 5f from below and returns through 1 loop (fig. 53c).
5. Share 5 loops as follows: Proximally insert L5 into R5 loop (fig. 53d - step A), withdraw R5 and then proximally insert R5 beside L5 into both loops (fig. 53e).
6. 5 carefully passes proximally toward the body under all the strings, proximally enters 1 loop, and hooks down the 1n string (fig. 53f - step A). Release 1 loop (fig. 53f - step B).
7. Proximally transfer 2 loops to 1. A string loops around 1 from the near to the far string (forming a roughly circular loop). Bend each 2 and 3 down and insert them through this circular loop from the back toward the body. Catch 1n between 2 and 3 fingertips, and draw it back through the circular loop, placing the string on the back of 2 in an Index Twist movement (fig. 53g). Point 1 away from the body. This is fig. 53h, The Duck.
8. Release 1 loop and extend. This is fig. 53i ,Two Men.
Notes: Step 2 here is the same as step 2 of Jayne's A Well except that the little fingers are not released.)
