A Seal
(Coronation Gulf)

1. Do Steps 1 to 5 of The Beluga.

2. Proximally insert L1 from the near side into the R1 loop (fig. 47a).

 

 

 

3. Release R1 loop and insert R1 beside L1 into both loops.

 

 

 

 

4. Two diagonal strings cross in back of the figure. One of these  is the R45n string, and the other is R2f. Pass 1 away from you under the index loops (and below the R1f - L3n string) and pick up the lower left string of the cross on the back of L1, and the lower right string of the cross on the back of R1.  This is much easier to do if the figure is first rested on the lap or a flat surface.  Draw both strings back through 1 loops (fig. 47c). Release all except 1 and 5 loops. This completes The Seal, which will require some arranging (fig. 47d).
