The Red Fox
(Barrow to Coronation Gulf)

1.  Position 1.

2.  Pick up L5f on back of RH, from the far side close to the LH (fig. 34a). Likewise, pick up R5f on the back of LH from the far side (fig. 34b).

3.  2 picks up opposite palmar string as in opening A.

4.  Exchange 2 loops, inserting fingers distally, passing right loop through left (fig. 34c).

5. Proximally transfer L2 loop to L1, then L5 loop to L1, maintaining their relative order (fig. 34d).

6. L5 hooks down distal L1f through proximal and middle L1 loops, closing it to the palm (fig. 34e - step A).

7.  L2 hooks hooks up proximal L1n through middle and distal L1 loops (fig. 34e - step B. Release all L1 loops.

8. A diamond composed of doubled strings is found in the center of the figure. Proximally insert  L1 into R5 loop, then pass it to the left behind the double strings forming the lower right side of the diamond, and in front of the strings forming the upper left side of the diamond. Then insert L1  proximally into the L2 loop (fig. 34f).  Navajo L1 loops.  Release L2 loop. Release R1 and R5 loops. You have formed The Red Fox (fig. 34g)

9.  Turn hands downward and slip off the wrist loops and extend figure (fig. 34h).
