The Rabbit
(Northern Alaska)

1. Hold the loop between L1 and L2 so that several inches of the loop fall down on the near side of L1. Grasp R345 around the two strings at the other end of the loop. R1 and R2 enter the hanging loop from above and pick up the upper and lower L1f strings as show in fig. 32a. Do not extend hands completely, just bring RH several inches away from LH.

2.  Rotate L1 a full turn away from you, twisting the Ll loops.

3.   L5, passing toward you over all the strings, proximally picks up R1n from the near side and removes the R1 loop (fig. 32b - steps A and B).  5 returns to position and closes to the palm with its loop .

4.   Transfer R2 to the end of Ll and Navajo the two proximal L1 strings over the new distal Ll string (fig. 32c - steps A and B).

5. Release RH loop and take hold of the long hanging 1oop with RH, untwisting it to complete the figure.

Notes: This figure is almost identical to Gordon’s
Caribou, but the procedure is completely different.
