A Reindeer Dragging a Sled
(Indian Point)

1. Make The Little Old Man. Proximally transfer 1 loop to 2. R1 and Ll pick up the strings marked "X" in fig. 17a .

2.  Distally transfer Ll loop to Rl (fig. 17b).

3.  Pass Ll distally into distal R1, then proximally into proximal Rl, and pull this loop to left through distal R1 (fig. 17c).

4.  With Ll and L2, remove Rl loop, then reinsert Rl into loop from the opposite direction (fig. 17d).

5.  Insert 1 proximally into 2 loops, Navajo, drop 2 loops and proximally transfer 1 loops to 2.

6.  Two strings loop under the TV 5f string.  Trace the far segment of the left one until it crosses over the near segment of the right one. Adjust the center part of the figure until you can isolate that crossing as shown in fig. 17e. Pick these strings up as a unit proximally with 1.

7. Insert 1 proximally into 2 loop, Navajo, and release 2 loop. You have fig. 17f, A Reindeer Dragging a Sled.

8. Proximally transfer 1 loops to 2. With Ll and R3 take up the strings indicated in fig. 17g. Release both 5 loops and extend, giving fig. 17h. The figure represents the sled after the reindeer has broken the trace and fled.
